Steve Waugh

Steve Waugh is one of the most illustrious captains in the history of Australian Cricket. He forms one half of the famed Waugh twins. Given the sobriquet of ‘Tugga’ and ‘Iceman’, Waugh has the record for playing the maximum number of Test matches. An iconic figure of Australia, Waugh was the most reliable player of Australia for nearly two decades. He was also a useful bowler for Australia for a long time.
Waugh also played a pivotal role in the ’87 World Cup and captained Australia to victory in the 2003 edition. His career has been a story of determination, doggedness and the triumph of human spirit.
